What are ‘Impressions’

‘Impressions’ are the number of times that your profile has been shown in search results. Unfortunately it doesn’t really mean much on its own, but in conjunction with the figure for ‘profile views’ it may give you a very rough idea of how ‘catchy’ your profile is to those who do search and where your profile appears. You can use this information to try and improve your information on the site. For example, by adding a photo, uploading a CRB check or expanding on your “About Me” section.

Impressions may be counted multiple times if a visitor alters their search, but are only counted if your profile was actually visible (i.e. it won’t be counted if your profile appeared on page 2 and the visitor didn’t go beyond page 1). Profile views on the other hand are only counted once per visit.

You can view the number of impressions in your dashboard.
