About me:

I am currently a final year student at Coventry University and I will be graduating in June 2013 with a BA degree in Theatre. I have also been awarded a Diploma of Higher Education in Performing Arts by Canterbury Christ Church University, where I completed two years of undergraduate study.
I worked as a drama coordinator/ artistic director for my former primary school in Romania and my project involved acting workshops for youngsters, rehearsals and two staged performances for the end of the year. At the moment, I am the artistic director of Tavo Theatre, an emerging Midlands-based small-scale theatre company which I have founded with two other colleagues from my course.
Even though I have chosen the pathway of arts, my secondary education was mostly science-oriented. I have graduated a prestigious high school in Bucharest with the Romanian Baccalaureate Diploma (equivalent to A-Levels or IB in the UK) grade 9.6 ( or 96% out of 100%), in 5 subjects, from which the most relevant ones are: Maths (9.5 or 95%), Chemistry (9.5 or 95%) and English - oral examination (10 or 100%).
Even though I am from Europe, I have several good reasons to believe I am qualified to teach English to a certain level: I had time to practice it with natives from different parts of the UK since moving to England in 2009, I have always approached the language academically both in Romania and while in higher education in England, and I also hold a Cambridge Advanced Examination Diploma in English, grade B (2008).
At the moment, I am looking for a part-time job that will allow me to practice my teaching skills, in the hope that I will also pass on some knowledge from the great education I was so lucky to receive. I have previously worked in the UK as a Claims Advisor for well-known insurance company Saga Ltd. (part of Acromas Holding). This job involved dealing with people of all ages and backgrounds and developed my communicating and organizational skills.

My work permit entitles me to work up to 20 hours per week (or full-time during my holidays), and I have a valid Enhanced CRB check. On request, I am able to provide outstanding references, both academic or from my former employer.
